I KNOW!
I said I'd stop...
But...
But...
But it has GACKT IN IT!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I added Mr. BRAIN to my list of J-Dramas to watch.
Well, and it has Mizushima Hiro... again...
BUT FREAKIN GACKT IS IN IT!
And I'm thinking he's a cannibalistic dude... somehow... GACKT playing a character like that is... kinda... hot...
I um... also added "Hero's Hero" to the list of Drama because it also has GACKT!
Anyone picking up the hint that I have a love of the man? Anyone?

New Series Added ~
I've added the J-Dramas, "Mei-chan no Shitsuji" and "Tokyo DOGS" to the site. Both have Mizushima Hiro in them. I kinda started liking him in "Zettai Kareshi" even though I first saw him in "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e".
I know, I need to watch them instead of adding more, ne? But I'm averaging 1 or 2 episodes a day, so that's not so bad (granted I haven't watched an anime ep in like... a week now... GOMEN NE ANIME!).

Zettai Kareshi ~First Thoughts~
Okay!
So I'm about to start on episode 4 of Zettai Kareshi!
First off... let me run down what I like... and don't like!
CONS:
1.) The storyline isn't about a girl in High School like it was in Watase's manga, but rather about a young woman in the business world of confectionery sweets! This Con/Pro I'm on the fence about, because while it works better in my mind logically... I don't know if I like that drastic a deviation from the manga.
2.) Soshi. Okay let me explain this one. I LOVE Soshi in the manga. I LOVE the Soshi in the Drama too. BUT... they're not the same Soshi! This deviation from the manga kinda irks me... because Soshi was supposed to be Riikou's childhood friend, right? The guy next door who looks after her all the time and who's got bookish good looks. In the Drama, he's a playboy-ish flirt, which does work with my mental image of his actor, Mizushima Hiro (who played Nanba in "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e"). I really like Mizushima-san... but in my head, he's not the TRUE Soshi.
3.) Ishizeki. Okay so this wouldn't have been a bad thing... if he weren't played by Kyo Nobou (who played Oscar in "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e"). I mean, I like Kyo-san but... it just threw me. Seeing him as evil REALLY threw me. Hurt my brain.
PROS
1.) Gaku. I know I know... I should like this Gaku cause it should screw with my head because he's a complete opposite of the manga Gaku. But seriously! How can I NOT like Sasaki Kuranosuke (who played Sanada in "Fuurin Kazan") in this?! He makes me giggle!
2.) The confectionery / business take. I know I hate manga deviation, but this reminds me a lot of "Hotaru no Hikari" via the whole workplace atmosphere. Plus all the sweets makes me think of "Antique" so there's another J-Drama plus there!
3.) Asamoto Masashi. I EFFING HATE HIM! Which is good cause I think you're supposed to hate him. Nakamura Shunsuke is doing a terrific job of turning Soshi's older brother into a complete bastard that you just want to beat with a stick. I literally, after episode 3, said to myself. "He needs to die painfully..."
As a side note, the ending theme, "Okaeri" was done by Ayaka, who did one of my favorite video game songs ever, "Why" for the "Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core" OST. It's a terrific song by a fantastic artist!
So yeah... so far... I'm likin' this show!

New Addition
I added "Zettai Kareshi" to the specials section.
I plan on watching it once I've finished the series!

New Dramas
I've added both "Maou" and "Hachimitsu to Clover" (Honey and Clover) to the list of Dramas.
This is mainly cause Ikuta Toma is in them... and I wanted to see more of his work!

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ~Special~ Closing Thoughts!
Nakatsu's mom and Julia!!!
Yeah, the special was crazy!
PLUS the ending of it really made you feel happy.
Once again, Nakatsu surprises me with how much I like him. He's just spectacular. In fact, I fully intend to watch other J-Drama with Ikuta Toma in it! I liked him THAT much.
One thing I really did like about the special (which took place partly in time with the Graduation of the Dorm heads, and as an episode 7.5) was that Umeda learned that Sano knew Ashiya was a girl!
The special was very good, and certainly a MUST SEE once you've seen the entire series!

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ~ Final Series Thoughts ~
So, I finished it!
I'm surprised I watched it so fast... and didn't get distracted halfway through!
So, first off, I have to point out that in the final episode, Sekime made me cry. Then I got that under control and here comes Nakatsu... making me cry again.
Guys crying is my weakness.
Oh and I was really annoyed that Akiha and Umeda... well... she asked if he wanted to go out with her again and he said he'd think about it. WTH?! Umeda is gay! Everyone know that... -sigh- Guess Drama Umeda is bi instead, ne?
Anyway, here's my overall review.
The series is hilarious and kinda cheesy at times, but that only makes it funnier. There were a lot of things that were very very close to the manga, which I appreciated, and then certain things that kind of deviated (like the relationship between Sano and Kagurazaka...) which were still okay, just odd.
Overall, I'd recommend this Drama to anyone who liked the Hana-Kimi manga. I'd also recommend it to fans of Shoujo as well.
I wouldn't tell someone just starting out in Japanese Drama to watch it, because the spontaneous wackiness might scare them away... it almost did me at first, til I got used to it.
I also wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't want something cute or funny or just fun all around. If you're looking for a serious drama, this totally isn't it.
Overall... I give "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" a 8 out of 10!

I added things...
So I added categories for things outside of mainstream Japanese Television.
I added a list of Chinese Dramas/Movies and of Korean Dramas/Movies and even of Taiwanese Dramas/Movies.
I also added a section for Japanese musicals, Sera-Myu musicals in-particular...
The best change though, was the added section for Japanese Movies!

Final Episode ~
I've only got the final episode of "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" to watch. It's a 2 hour ep too!
Well, and I've got the special as well...
So I'll totally review the series, once I'm finished watching it completely!
WOOT!

First Post!
This is my first "Nihongo no Terebi" post!
Right now, I'm really into watching 'Hanazakari no Kimitachi e' which is also known as 'Hana-Kimi'.
At first, I thought the show was silly and foolish... but then it grew on me and now I'm just full of this weird sort of happiness.
It's odd...
And as much as I loved Umeda and Nayashima and Namba in the manga, I have to say that the Drama version of Nakatsu is really starting to grow on me, hehe.
Anyway, I'm currently on the 10th episode!
